Olivia Marie Sherry has been writing short stories since she was five years old.
Once she completed a few stories, they were printed out in booklet form and Olivia
would sell them at yard sales around her town, at restaurants, friends' houses, school,
anywhere people were who would give her a couple of dollars for her work. By the time
she was seven she wrote her first book entitled "Another Haunting", a precursor to her
first full length, published book Her Nightmare which she wrote at eight years old.
She has sold over a hundred copies at this time of writing.
Olivia has appeared in local newspapers and news websites and is admired by
R.L. Stine (Goosebumps) and Jeff Kinney (Diary of a Wimpy Kid),
both of whom have read and enjoyed her story.
Olivia's love for all things creepy started when she was young. Of all the
storybooks read to her at bedtime the ones she gravitated to the most by far
were the Halloween books. At three years old she was recorded in a Nashville
studio reciting (by memory) her favorite book about different monsters going
to a Halloween party. Her love of scary stories grew as she discovered Goosebumps
books and later when she found Mary Downing Hahn's work of which she is a fan. Olivia
hopes to be a successful writer when she grows up and travel all over the world with
her stories.
Olivia lives in Gallatin, TN with her proud parents and younger sister.
